Iron Cactus – Great bar and Sunday buffet – also has a location downtown
Chola- Great buffet, has North Indian AND South Indian, the latter is pretty rare
Hoeks Pizza – hardcore deathmetal Pizza stand – What’s not to like? It shut down then opened up, it might be shut down again, I’m not sure
Aquarelle – French restaurant with a great happy hour – if you like French food or want to try it, their happy hour offers great prices on their some of their food.
Rounders – great pizza!
Uchi – expensive sushi place
WINK- hidden secret fancy shmancy restaurant
Casa De Luz – hippy vegan enlightenment place – They have lots of stuff – yoga, tai chi, a vegan buffet, etc.- i think you can get enlightened for 20 bucks or something- seriously – a couple saw me reading Iyengar’s Light on Pranayama and told me that for 20 bucks and a laying of hands ceremony I could gain enlightenment AND ENLIGHTEN OTHER PEOPLE. Alas, I couldn’t go…BUT YOU CAN!
Fliphappy Crepes – famous crepe place featured several times on the food network
Hula Hut – amazing fajitas, great view by the lake
Vivo – great upscale mexican place – talk to the homeless people while waiting to get a table!
El Chile – Try their fantastic orange margarita – there’s also one that opened further north on Grestone
