MARTAS HOTEL – Gili Trawangan, Lombok
Spacious, clean, with airconditioning, the facilities here are out of this world. Each room is a full house, two stories with a small porch, where you can order meals which are brought to you. Many of the rooms face a beautiful swimming pool, and the owner, Joanna, a British born expat, is very friendly and knowlegeable about the area, and expat living and travel in general. Her emails were friendly and informative before we even got to the country, and she continued to be so when we were there. The hotel is in a quiet street a little walk away from the boisterous bars of the main street of the island. Highly recommended.
